Here's a simple healthy little snack recipe everyone can enjoy. Walnuts filled with omega 3 fatty acids and maple syrup containing zinc and manganese makes a powerful AND tasty energy boosting snack.
2 cups walnut halves
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/8 tsp salt
Put the walnuts in a pan, cover with maple syrup, add salt, cook till the maple syrup is caramelized( about 3 minutes) then cool.
Other great add in idea's:
Dried cranberries
Dried cherries
Soy chocolate morsals
Toasted coconut

I have been looking for a recipe like this. I use pecans instead of walnuts and put them as a add in to my spinach salad.
