Pan Seared Tuna

Recipe by: Amelie Kidd
Tuna fish are truly a nutrient-dense food. An excellent source of high quality protein, tuna are rich in a variety of important nutrients including the minerals selenium, magnesium, and potassium; the B vitamins niacin, B1 and B6; and perhaps most important, the beneficial omega-3 essential fatty acids.

4 Tuna Steaks
Garlic Powder (pinch)
fresh cracked pepper
small amount of sea salt
3 green onion chopped
1 tbsp maple balsamic (can mix balsamic vinegar with tiny amount of brown sugar to sweeten)

Season both sides of steaks with garlic powder, pepper and salt (season to taste, I go very lightly on salt and garlic)
In non stick skillet, cook to desired temp, searing both sides.
To serve, drizzle balsamic over tuna and add green onion.

Thank you, Amelie for this delicious recipe!
